In their words.

"The online presentation is more efficient and better presented than I could deliver on my best day. I can't compete with that."Gerald Whittle, CEO, Whittle Consulting

01

The situation

Whittle Consulting has spent 27 years advising the mining industry on integrated strategic planning, complex enough that entire leadership teams need to understand it before the work can begin. For 15 years, that meant Gerald Whittle travelling up to 200 days a year to deliver a two-day seminar, on every continent, for every new client.

The pandemic moved it to Zoom. Engagement doubled, but Gerald was still presenting live 10 to 12 times a year, often starting at 2am to reach global teams. His calendar was the ceiling on how fast the business could grow.

02

What we did

Recording Gerald and uploading the sessions would have kept the content and lost what made it work: the sequence, the logic, the moments where complex methodology landed for a live audience. We mapped every concept, every sequence and the points where live audiences historically lost the thread, and rebuilt it as a self-paced experience that carries that depth without Gerald in it. Not a recording of the original. A refined version.

The results

  • 16 hours of monthly live delivery now runs on demand. Gerald's schedule no longer decides who gets access to the expertise.
  • The self-paced format outperforms live delivery in clarity and consistency.
  • The marketing team recovered capacity for business development.
  • Succession risk addressed: the methodology is in the system, not only in the founder.
